In this canvas I tried to recreate that magic in the romantic landscape paintings of century XIX. This summit in Madrid is quite a perplexing image: the great city, Madrid, in the South, “El Yelmo” the great granite mass dominating the heart of La Pedriza. The light within those mountains shows that marvellous beauty of twilight. The cold colours at noon turn into ocher, indigo and sienna melted by the mist to create an infinite palette of colours.
